Thank you for your interest in the Collaborative Piano program at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University! For specific questions regarding the Collaborative Piano program, please email Professor Anne Epperson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For Fall 2019 Enrollment, all new applicants must apply onlineboth to the Indiana University Graduate School and to the Jacobs School of Music by December 1st, 2019.
As part of the application, pre-screening video recordings are required in order to be invited to campus for a live audition. The repertoire on the recording must adhere to the established pre-screening requirements listed here.
Your pre-screening recording must be submitted online to Acceptd, not to individual faculty members or to other admission offices (international or university).
All students applying for graduate degrees or diplomas in collaborative piano must audition for admission. Information on the required audition materials is available here.
Audition and Interview Weekends
February 7-9, 2020
March 6-8, 2020
The IU Jacobs School of Music Collaborative Piano program requires an audition and interview. Auditions and interviews are held on two weekends each year: one in February, and one in March. All auditions and interviews are held on the Bloomington campus. The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music does not offer regional auditions. Audition and interview dates are scheduled only after students have completed both the IU Application for Admission and the IU Jacobs School of Music Application.
You will indicate your preferred audition weekend on your Jacobs School of Music application, and we will make every effort to honor the specific date you request. However, it is possible that you will be assigned an alternate date. A confirmation e-mail will be your official notification.
On the weekend of your audition, you will be scheduled for an audition and interview between 8 a.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. At 6 p.m. Friday, there is a special meet-and-greet with current students and collaborative faculty. Please make your travel plans after you receive official confirmation of your audition/interview date and time. Because of faculty availability and the large number of applicants, it may not be possible to honor special requests for particular days or times during an audition weekend, but we will try!
Ad Hoc Auditions
If you are unable to attend one of the official audition dates sponsored by the Office of Music Admissions, it may be possible to arrange an ad hoc audition. To schedule an ad hoc audition, contact Professor Anne Epperson (email@example.com).
