Fall 2014 Degree Recital Deadlines
DM and AD performance deadline: Friday, Nov. 21 (Scheduling begins: August 22)
NOTE: In general performance AD and DM recitals should not be held on Saturdays or Sundays.
MM, PD, SR, JR performance deadline: Saturday, Dec. 13 (Scheduling begins: August 27)
NOTE: Undergraduates are required to enroll in performance lessons in the semester (or summer session) of your recital. Students who fail to enroll will not receive recital credit. Recital Scheduling Guidelines
- Recitals must be scheduled and approved by required instructor/recital committee and the JSoM Scheduling OfficeAT LEAST 3 weeks in advance of your proposed recital date.
- Proposed dates, times, and hall reservations will be canceled if recital requests are not approved by the 3-week deadline.
- Be sure to contact your instructor/recital committee during the recital scheduling process. If they cannot access the online approval screen, they can send their approvals via email to the JSoM Scheduling office (musched [at] indiana [dot] edu).
- Your proposed date, time, and hall reservation becomes official only after all required approvals are submitted online or sent via email to the JSoM Scheduling office.
- In the event that your proposed date, time, or hall is not available, you will be contacted immediately by the JSoM Scheduling office to choose an alternate date, time, or hall.
- Recital Times
- Auer Hall: Mon-Fri at 5p, 8p. Sat-Sun at 2p, 4p, 6p, 8p.
- Ford-Crawford Hall: Mon-Fri at 5p, 7p, 8:30p. Sat-Sun at 1p, 3p, 5p, 7p, 8:30p
- Recital Hall: Mon-Fri at 5p, 7p, 8:30p. Sat-Sun at 1p, 3p, 5p, 7p, 8:30p
NOTE: Students in the Open Enrollment Program are not eligible to perform a recital in Auer Hall, Ford-Crawford Hall, or Recital Hall.
How to Access the Program Creation Form
- Complete a Program Creation Form by accessing the Program Creation website from an on-campus computer. Please use Internet Explorer or Safari. DO NOT use Google Chrome.
- On this website you will be able to complete the following steps:
- Create a program
- Propose a date and time
- Propose a JSoM recital hall (or alternate location)
- Send your instructor/recital committee an automatic approval request email
- You will receive confirmation emails from the online system as you complete each required step and reminder emails for required next steps.
NOTE: You are required to complete a new Program Creation Form, if you canceled a recital in a previous semester.
