University Student Organizations are eligible to schedule events in Jacobs School of Music spaces, including Recital Hall, rehearsal rooms, classrooms, etc. Events are defined as those that are advertised on the Jacobs School of Music Events Calendar and open to the public. This includes events in performance halls and events in other JSoM spaces, such as classrooms.
Please see information about eligibility and other policies in the USO/SGSO Policies, and note the information below about when and how to schedule events.
USOs may schedule events in halls, classrooms, and other spaces starting on the same date that student non-degree recital scheduling begins for a given semester (see Recital Scheduling Dates and Deadlines for specific dates). For example, in recent years, this has been early August for Fall semester events, and mid-November for Spring semester events.
For information on how to schedule an event, please follow the instructions on Faculty/Staff page for How to Schedule an Event.
USO events in JSoM spaces during Fall and Spring semesters must occur before or on the following deadlines:
Fall semesters: the Friday directly prior to Thanksgiving
